- Support application of aerospace materials and in particular coatings such as thermal barrier coatings (TBCs), anti-corrosion systems, wear-resistant coatings, and conductive.
- Help to analyse and solve problems with materials and coating defects including adhesion failure, porosity, delamination, blistering, and surface contamination.
- Provide hands-on support during production trials and scale-up activities.
- Select appropriate coating materials for aluminum, titanium, composites, and high-temperature superalloys.
- Ensure compliance with Rolls-Royce and aerospace specifications.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and technical data packages.
- Support qualification and verification of coating systems.
- Work with laboratories to validate functional properties as coating thickness, microstructure, hardness, and bond strength.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure coating compatibility with component geometry and service environment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance coating durability, reduce rework, and improve process efficiency.
