For our office in Grace-Hollogne (Liège), Belgium, we are looking for a:
Application Engineer F/M/X (Fulltime)
The role of the Application Engineer is to help the sales staff to achieve economically competitive business by providing them with technical solutions adapted to the customers' needs and to Rolls-Royce's implementation constraints. If necessary, to help with the good end of the project by exploiting the information collected in the phase of commercial support.
Key Responsibilities:
· Analyze the specifications and define the configuration of machines and topologies.
· Drawing up technical documents relating to the RRSL product range and/or specific to a project.
· For complex projects, accompany the sales representative to the customer or his consultant to demonstrate RRSL's technical competence with a view to closing deals.
· In the project phase, participate in the studies in the broadest sense of the term by relaying the information they have gathered throughout the commercial phase and by interacting with the technical counterparts at the customer side, in collaboration with the respective RRSL project manager.
· Improve and implement calculation tools and/or databases to facilitate its technical support work.
· Define product specifications for the procurement of these products. To this end, ensure the technical dialogue with the suppliers concerned.
Qualifications:
· Master of Engineering (preferably in electricity or electro-mechanics) or equivalent through experience
· A first experience in the definition of systems involving high power rotating electrical machines is an asset
· Knowledge in the application of electrotechnical standards
· French & English. Fluency in English is mandatory
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Curious and eager to learn
